How do I make a reservation for a session?
Using the reservation form avalable from our website, fill out the necessary information. One of our staff will contact you in 48 hours. Please note that there are tiime when our staff our all off site, and in some cases overseas, in which may cause a delay in contacting you. We will do everything possible to prevent such delays.

If you do not hear back from us after 4 days, your reservation form may not have be received by us due to system malfunction or for other unknown reasons. In this case, please resend the reservation form to us.

How far in advance should I make the reservation?
If you prefer the session to be held on weekends, we recommend at least two months in advance. Otherwise, we will be flexible in meeting your desired session date.

When is the best time for the maternity session?
In general, anytime between the 32nd and 36th weeks of pregnancy. While there are individual differences, this timeframe is often considered one of the stable periods of pregnancy, and the baby belly will be big enough to show well in the photos.

I am pondering whether or not to do a nude (or semi-nude) portrait. By when do I need to decide?
You do not have to rush your decision. Everyone has different levels of modesty and different ideas of how they would like the results to look. Before your session, we will discuss your vision for the session and we can take it from there. You can decide on the day of the session whether to remain fully covered or try different levels of partially nude poses.

I have ideas on how to I would like the portrait to look, but it is difficult to convey my idea. What can I do?
If you have sample images or photos of how you want your portrait to look, it would be very helpful in planning for the session. Our staff will work with you to plan and design the perfect portrait for you.

I don't have any specific ideas of how I want my portrait to come out. Will Brilliant be able to offer some ideas for me?
Absolutely. There are many clients who entrust us to plan a portrait for them. Our staff will be more than happy to work closely with you and design the session that is right for you.

Is it possible to hide the pregnancy marks?
The answer is, yes. We can either use a light layer of body cosmetics to make the marks less apparent or digitally touch up the image after the photoshoot. We can help you decide which option is better for you in a consulting session.

Does Brilliant provide hair arrangement?
Our staff can help you with some simple hair arrangement and setup at the time of the session. If you require any special hair arrangements, please let us know in the consulting session. We can arrange a hair stylist that provide the necessary services (fee separate).

Does Brilliant offer nail art services?
We do not offer nail services. Our recommendation is to avoid nail art. Hands are often a vital part of a maternity portrait and thus keeping a natural looking hands and fingertips is often the better option.

Is there anything I need to prepare for the photoshoot?
Our staff will outline all the necessary items in the preparation session prior to the maternity session. Other than your personal items, there should not be anything for you to prepare for the photoshoot.

Does Brilliant offer rental dresses and ornaments?
Yes, we do. Our staff will discuss with you on the available options. We have a variety of selections for you to choose from, including clothing and accessories prepared domestically as well as overseas. Rental fees will be included in your session fee.




Can my children be at the session?
Yes, of course. Many of our maternity session clients include those who are pregnant with their second or third child. The session is held at a location of your choosing, either at your own home or a place close to your home so you can be with your family and be able to keep eyes on your kids.

How much time is needed to setup the photoshoot?
The time will vary depending on the condition of the session location. In general, a session is 3 hours. Of that 3 hours, a minimum of 30 minutes will be needed to setup the photo studio.

Can a session take more than 3 hours?
With good planning, normal session should not take more than 3 hours. However, depending on how you feel and the need for extra breaktime or rest period, it may take longer than 3 hours total. It is not uncommon to use more energy on the day of the shoot than usual. Therefore, we recommend that you avoid planning other activities for the day of your maternity session.

Can my pet be present at the session?
Yes. In fact your pet can participate in the portrait if you so desire.

Can parents and friends be at the session?
Absolutely. A maternity session can often be a very warming and delightful event. Having your parents or friends close during the session can also help ease some of your tensions, resulting in a more natural expression.

Can I bring family and friends?
Absolutely, Yes! Please bring anyone you want and enjoy your time at our studio.

Should I bring anything?
No.
If you would like to leave your special accessories a photograph such as a wedding band and a watch, Please bring them.

If you wish to eat and drink, Please do prepare some food and drink for yourself.
Please feel at home!

If there are personal items to use for photography, Please feel free to consult with a coordinator.

Is there a parking lot?
We don’t have a parking space.
We’ll show you a nearby coin parking lot. The closest one is right next to our building.

Can I get off a taxi right in front of the studio?
Yes.

Can I grab a taxi near the studio?
There is a major street a couple blocks away. Our stuff will go and grab a taxi for you.

Is it walking distance from the nearest station?
Yes.



Does the cost of the Maternity Photo Shoot Events differ each time?
Yes. The pricing of our Maternity Photo Shoot Event will vary depending on contents and location. Please be sure to check our Event & News section for upcoming events and event details.

What is the different between event and maternity session?
Major differeces are time available for each client, contents and level of personalization among other things.

A maternity session is a personal materniaty portrait session taylored to your needs and preferences. We begin by setting up a photo studio at a location of your choosing dedicated to photographing portraits just for you. On the other hand, a marternity shop event often takes place at a pre-deterined public facility. Because it is a public event, there will be other clients with you at the location.



What are the available payment methods?
We accept cash payment on the day of the maternity session or bank deposit one day before the session (any bank transaction fees are responsible by the customer). We currently do not accept credit cards.

What is your cancellation policy?
We accept cancellation without charge up to 24 hours in advance of a scheduled session. If you are suddenly not feeling well, please be sure to give us a call to cancel your session. Please note that you can also re-schedule your session instead of cancelling.

Cancellation Fee:
Cancel by 24 hours in advance - No cancellation fee
If less than 24 hours - 10% of the session fee

Is it possible to re-schedule a session?
Yes. Please contact our staff to make scheduling changes.
If a notice to re-schedule is less than 24 hours prior to the session, there will be a re-scheduling fee of 50% of the session fee.
